Students and Art Professionals are asked to sell only 10 tickets to that night’s Avalanche game in order to participate. The number of tickets to be sold will be less depending on participation! A portion of every ticket sold will be donated back to the CAEA in an effort to raise money for student scholarship funds.

That Saturday, everyone participating in the show will be allowed early access into the Pepsi Center to set up their pieces. Easels will not be provided. Tables and chairs will be available for 3-demensional pieces. Participants and guests will be allowed to walk around the Pepsi Center to view the work.

All participants will receive a FREE ticket to that night’s Colorado Avalanche game. This is special opportunity to present art to thousands. For questions or to get registered please contact Jake Godber with the Colorado Avalanche at 303 405 6183 or at jgodber@pepsicenter.com.

The most beautiful holiday gallery in Cherry Creek North is hosting the Night of Angels: a benefit for the Denver Childrens Home.  We need student artwork state-wide to be exhibited. 

Media is wide open but keeping with the angel theme.  Work is for purchase with all proceeds going directly to the DCH.

The event details are:

The State of Colorado announces a call for student artwork for exhibition May 2010 at the US Dept of ED headquarters in Washington, DC. Opening reception: May 4 at AM. All Colorado teachers are invited to submit up to 5 digital images per school of student artwork for jury. Please submit only 2D artwork for consideration; no ceramic or other fragile media will be accepted. Unframed artwork must be no larger than 18” X24”. Accepted artwork must be matted, not framed, accompanied by an artist statement. Instructions for matting and shipping artwork will be sent with notice of acceptance. Jury submissions must be received by December 18, 2009. Please enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope for notification. If you want your CD returned, please enclose a self-addressed CD envelope with adequate postage.
