Building the Ancient Egyptian Way

Explore the Denver Art Museum exhibition King Tut and discover related hands-on classroom activities for math, science, and art. Visit the exhibition, then learn how to use inexpensive, repurposed materials to enhance your students' understanding of ancient Egypt. Make and use simple machines (grades 3–6). Explore the math and science of tomb construction (grades 6–12). Learn about art, proportion, and symbolism (grades 4–8). Or experience Egyptian fun, games, and food—from hummus to hieroglyphs (pre K–grade 2). Breakout sessions will be held at raft (www.raftcolorado.org).

$95 fee includes admission to King Tut. Adams State Credit at an additional cost.
