Student Teaching Scholarships

The Colorado Art Education Association is an organization with the prime directive of advancing and improving the quality of art education throughout the state of Colorado. CAEA encourages the development of current and future professional art educators and advocates for the implementation of national, state, and local visual arts standards. This scholarship is a one time award of $500.00 that will be deposited in the financial aid account at the student’s institution. Eligibility and requirement guidelines follow below.

 

Eligibility

  • Applicants must have 90% of course work completed and be student teaching in the spring or fall of 2012
  • Applicants must have a 3.0 grade point average
  • Applicants must be attending a Colorado college or university
  • Applicants must be a CAEA/NAEA student member

Application Requirements

  • Applicants should submit official transcripts from all universities and colleges attended
  • Two recommendation forms ( Download & print here) from faculty members and/or advisers that address the applicant’s academic standing, creativity, emotional maturity, motivation and professional potential
  • Letter indicating why the applicant should be considered for this award. The letter should contain applicants name, address, phone number and e-mail address
  • Resume

Incomplete applications will not be reviewed. The Representative Council of the Colorado Art Education Association will review applications at February and August meetings. Notification will be made to applicants shortly after that date.
