STATE LEVEL ADVOCACY

CAEA in partnership with the Colorado Alliance for Arts Education and other arts education organizations like CMEA, ACT, and CAHPERD, work together with the Colorado Department of Education (CDE) to ensure quality programming in the Arts and Physical Education for Colorado students. Members of CAEA represent the visual arts as Advisors to the Commissioner in identifying model programming, proposing policy, and providing staff development to state art educators. CAEA members also serve on the Board of the Colorado Alliance to develop and oversee arts related activities for our state, such as Youth Arts Celebration.
