Why Join CAEA?

Being a member of CAEA has numerous benefits. Our national award winning magazine Collage will be sent to you three times per year. This magazine contains important information about what is happening in our state in the field of art education. It also contains lesson plans, regular columns and a variety of stories written especially for our readers. Members receive our monthly e-news that keeps them up to date about what is happening with CAEA, art events and other newsworthy items including job openings, non-profit classes being held, etc. CAEA holds two yearly conferences, Art for Us (spring conference) each May and our annual four day long fall conference in October. Members are given a discounted conference fee to spring conference. It is now a benefit of attending our fall conference to receive a yearly membership to CAEA. CAEA also offers grants and scholarships to its members to help them pursue further education in the field of art. Scholarships are also available exclusively to students of CAEA members.

We are a group of individuals who all have a common goal to ensure a high quality art education for all students in Colorado. By working together, we make the difference. CAEA provides the opportunity and the means to meet with each other at least several times per year (and more often within our regions) to enhance art education as well as make lasting friendships. It also provides leadership roles for those who would like to serve on the CAEA Representative Council, the CAEA Task Forces as well as the CAEA Executive Board.
